This game takes the best of traditional fantasy football, survivor leagues and pick'em and puts it into one simple game. You pick a traditional roster of players (QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, TE, Flex, DST) for each round of the playoffs. You can pick your players from any team in that round and from any player available on those team for their applicable position. You accrue points based on a traditional fantasy scoring system for each week.
The twist is that you can only use a player once during the entire playoffs. So choose wisely. If you pick Drew Brees as your QB in the wild card round and Tom Brady in the divisional round and the Saints played the Patriots in the the Super Bowl - you wouldn't have a QB!
Read the questions below for more information on the game - we know you'll love it.
Remember the playoffs and playoff rosters aren't confirmed until January 3rd. So you won't be able to pick your team until then. Register now, create a league and invite all your friends or colleagues to play - it only takes about 5 minutes!
This is a totally new and unique way to play playoff football. Don’t you hate missing your fantasy playoffs or being out in week 13, 14 or 15? Wouldn’t you like to continue playing during the most important part of the season? Wouldn’t the playoffs be more entertaining if you had something riding on it? Looking for a new and more interesting way to play fantasy?
Well our game is the answer for you - continue the fun throughout the playoffs!
The rules are simple – you can pick any player available on any playoff team that is playing that week. The players must be chosen from their position category. Each week you choose 1 QB, 2 RBs, 2 WRs, 1TE, 1 Flex WR/TE/RB, 1K, 1 DEF.
The catch: you can only choose a player once for the entire playoffs.
This is the part of the game that is like a survivor pool - although technically a little different.
Our game is different than regular games because every manager in your league can choose from every player available during each playoff round. However, you can only use that player ONCE for the entire length of the playoffs. This puts emphasis on strategy and match ups - you want to choose a high scoring player that loses early so you have more options down the road. But don’t wait too long - if Drew Brees puts up amazing points in the first round but loses - you can’t get those points back!
Here’s an example:
In week one of the playoffs you choose Peyton Manning as your QB - in week two you choose Aaron Rodgers. If Indy and Green Bay meet in the Super Bowl - you won’t have a starting QB (unless one got hurt). Choose wisely!!
As you can only choose a player once during the playoffs - the goal is to pick a high scoring player on a losing team. Of course that means you have to think about which teams are going to win and lose and who is going to make the Super Bowl. It may not be particularly important in the first couple rounds when there are lots of choices - but if you don’t have a QB or RB available for the Super Bowl - good luck winning!!
All players are awarded point based on the following:
| Offensive Scoring: | Kicking Scoring: | Defensive Scoring: |
| Passing TD: 6 pts | FG: 0-39 yds: 3 pts; | Sack: 1 pt |
| Rushing TD: 6 pts | 40-49 yds: 4 pts; | Int: 2 pts |
| Receiving TD: 6 pts | 50+ yds: 5 pts | Fumble Recovery: 2 pts |
| Return TD: 6 pts | PAT: 1 pt |
Defensive TD: 6 pts |
| Passing: 1 pt per 25 passing yards
(we give .04 points per yard so 226 passing yards = 9.04 points) |
No negative points for misses. | Safety: 2 pts |
| Rushing: 1 pt per 10 rushing yards (we give .10 points per yard so 110 rushing yards = 10.1 points) |
Block Kick: 2 pts | |
| Receiving: 1 pt per 10 receiving yard s (we give .10 points per yard so 120 receiving yards = 10.2 points) |
Defensive points allowed: | |
| Fumble lost: -2 pts | 0: 10 pts | |
| Interception: -2 pts | 1-6: 7 pts | |
| 2 Pt Conversion: 2 pts | 7-13: 4 pts | |
| 7-13: 4 pts | ||
| 14-20: 1 pt | ||
| 21-27: 0 pt | ||
| 28-34: -1 pt | ||
| 35+: -4 pts |
Note that an interception return/fumble return does not count against the defensive score. The extra point would count. For example, Peyton Manning throws a pick 6 against New England. If you had picked the Indianapolis defense, the 6 points would not count against the defensive points allowed. Kickoff returns/punt returns do count against defensive points allowed.
Tiebreakers:
Combined Points Scored in Super Bowl
Combined Total Yards in the Super Bowl (both teams)
Combined Passing Yards in the Super Bowl (both teams)
If you are still tied - you deserve to split it!
Rosters are locked 15 minutes before the start of the first game of the weekend.
No. You should always choose a player - even if it’s a backup (hey you never know). But leaving a roster spot empty will not disqualify you - your other picks will continue to accrue points.
Yes!! Pick your team once and use it in as many leagues as you want. To join multiple leagues with one team just login and click the Join/Create League tab. After you already have one team registered, the process will ask you if you want to use that same team in the new league you created or joined.. If you want, you can also create multiple teams from your user account.
No!! This is in part what makes us different. No max of 16 or 20 teams. You can invite the entire office, family, group etc. to join. Invite them now! We do limit the size of public leagues though. There is also no limit on the number of leagues you can create!
You can create a league at any time up until the Super Bowl. However, the game is the most fun when you play for the entirety of the playoffs - so start your league early and invite all your friends, colleagues, family members, etc. to join. The more the better!
Of course! However, we cap the size of public leagues to 20 teams each.
The team that scores the highest number of points over the entire playoffs. Of course you can set up prizes for each week but there may be ties - especially in large groups - after one week of play. This shouldn’t happen as the playoffs progress and we have built in tiebreakers in the unlikely event that does occur.
We’ve tried to use fairly standard scoring options from other fantasy games. These are standard for our game to allow players to participate in multiple leagues and create mega-leagues that everyone can easily join and understand. We plan to offer customized scoring in future versions of the game.
Yes. Scoring will be realtime or as close to realtime as possible. However, official stats may get adjusted from time to time so final point totals are not official until the end of the game.
Each week you choose 1 QB, 2 RBs, 2 WRs, 1TE, 1 Flex WR/TE/RB, 1K, 1 DEF.
If others see your picks - this can give them a strategic advantage. For example, if two teams were tied or close to tied, a manager could make the decision to copy your team to prevent you from catching up to them.
Once the game is locked for the week, you will be able to see everyone’s roster.
All issues in private leagues should be handled internally as we do not interfere. We urge you to make an attempt at contacting other league members in order to come up with the best resolution. If you are sending money - make sure you know who the commissioner is!
